2022 has been an incredible year of growth for Everfit and our amazing coaches. Together, we are changing the future of fitness by making online training more accessible, flexible, and successful.

In celebration of all the Everfit community has accomplished this year, we’re sharing valuable insights from some of our top coaches to help you grow your business!

  • Set Clear Boundaries
  • Be Prepared for New Situations
  • Focus on Consistency
  • Be Confident and Take Action
  • Anticipate Business Delays

Set Clear Boundaries

Sarah Pelc Graca is a weight loss coach and the creator of Strong with Sarah. This past year, her team has worked with clients across the world and helped them collectively lose over 600 pounds.

After giving birth to her first child this year, Sarah focused on creating time and space for her family as well as time and space for her business and clients. Developing clear boundaries allowed her to be efficient with her time and her energy. To grow her business, Sarah emphasizes the importance of being 1% better today than yesterday because, over time, the growth adds up!

We asked Sarah to share more of her story…

What is one of your favorite client memories from this last year?

I have too many to count!! I feel my favorite moment always happens when clients embody and understand a healthy life versus losing weight as fast as possible in an unsustainable way.

Please share some achievements from 2022.

We worked with clients in 7 countries and on 4 continents in 2022! We’ve also added new features to our coaching program to help clients become even more successful in losing weight and keeping it off (like a monthly step challenge)!

Please share a professional goal for the new year.

I hope to continue to grow our private 1:1 coaching business and possibly start a group weight loss program.

Be Prepared for New Situations

Dane Bartz is a fitness coach and the CEO of Linked Fit, a training business centered around fitness, wellness, and education. Dane is passionate about delivering elite training and top results for everyone who enters his facility (either in-person or virtually).

Dane and his team at Linked Fit place a high priority on fitness education. Their goal is to equip clients to move and train pain-free through science-backed programming. This year, Linked Fit had a 42% income increase compared to 2021! Additionally, Dane was appointed as the state of Michigan’s Director for the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA), a position that allows him to further share his enthusiasm for health and performance.

We caught up with Dane and asked him to share some coaching insights…

What advice would you give to young coaches who want to start their own online training business?

Start in-person training to gain valuable experience! The in-person coaching experience provides clinical advancement and interpersonal skills when working with clients. As you fine-tune your training philosophy via in-person practices, this will make you a better online training coach! Gain an advantage over many online training coaches by programming customized training sessions and being thoughtful about every step you take. Smart training is for everyone!

Please share a professional goal for the new year.

Get a full-time academic faculty position at a college/university while keeping an active coaching clientele through online training with Everfit! I love educating our future health and fitness professionals in the classroom, but deep down, I’m still a coach! A coach that loves programming for clients to reach their goals.

Please share any strategies for achieving these goals.

Develop action-oriented goals! It’s essential to have a business-minded concept in growing as a professional! Review components of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for your career, business, and professional goals so outcomes can be tracked appropriately. Have a vision and stick with it!

Focus on Consistency

Steph David is a health educator, coach, and mom. She recently scaled her monthly revenue from $3k to $10k and transitioned her business from a fitness-focused gym to a holistic virtual gym that includes meditation, mobility programs, and 30-day challenges.

This year, Steph focused on streamlining her business. She determined the maximum number of clients her business could support and planned around that for optimal results. To maintain growth, Steph honed in on a few specific Everfit features that would be effective and easy to manage. She plans to continue this momentum into 2023 by improving her client acquisition system and creating quarterly zoom retreats for clients.

What is one of your favorite client memories from this last year?

I have a few: One client officially lost 100 lbs, 4 out of 4 clients fit into their wedding dresses, 2 clients reversed their fatty livers, 1 client reversed her diabetes, and, through the food journal, one client was able to track food and successfully heal her eating disorder.

Please share some achievements from 2022.

I seamlessly balanced my app alongside group coaching, 1 on 1 coaching, and an online course as a solopreneur.

What advice would you give to young coaches who want to start their own online training business?

Simple is key. Less is more. Focus on what you can maintain for 3-6 months as the launch is always exciting but getting clients is always easier than keeping them. Reputation and word of mouth are vital to the longevity of your business.

Be Confident and Take Action

Amy Fox is a health coach and co-founder of Work in Progress TX, LLC. She focuses on helping stressed working professionals lose fat without chronic dieting or over-exercising.

This past year, Amy concentrated on learning more about her ideal client so she could market her business better. Because coaching is a personal service, Amy shares that it’s important to ensure that the client is a good fit for her and she is a good fit for the client. Learning more about her clients also helped Amy get clear about her message on social media, which she plans to continue improving on in 2023.

We asked Amy to share more about her coaching experience…

What is one of your favorite client memories from this last year?

One of our clients who had been chronically dieting graduated from our coaching program and achieved all her goals! She experienced amazing body composition changes. We worked with her for a year, and the growth was amazing.

Please share some important lessons from 2022.

Stop spending money on education and take action. Be careful who you invest in to grow your business.

What advice would you give to young coaches who want to start their own online training business?

Do your best to not fall into the comparison game. Be confident in your abilities and know that this job will bring ups and downs.

Anticipate Business Delays

Jethro Binns is the former Welsh Champion in the sport of squash as well as the founder of SquashSkills, the world’s leading squash coaching platform. Over the past ten years, SquashSkills has accumulated over 80,000 players and continues to deliver high-level, affordable coaching to athletes of all levels.

This year, Jethro led SquashSkills’ rebranding initiative and focused on expanding partnerships. He successfully launched a new platform alongside two new apps – including a white-labeled Everfit app. Jethro shares that this process taught him the importance of anticipating business delays. Whether he was waiting for web development to wrap up or nudging a potential partner for a response, things generally took longer than expected. Jethro notes that the key is perseverance: “You have to be prepared to go a little slower.”

We asked Jethro to tell us more about his year…

What is one of your favorite client memories from this last year?

It’s hard to pin it on one specifically; we’re just excited that we’ve been able to improve the user experience of our members significantly by embracing Everfit as a platform.

Please share a professional goal for the new year.

My goal is to integrate our new offering with a number of major international federations.

What advice would you give to young coaches who want to start their own online training business?

Learn to learn from everyone! You don’t know it all and can pick up something useful from any conversation.

Congratulations & Cheers to 2023

Everfit is honored to stand alongside these coaches and our entire coaching community as you share the gift of health this holiday season and all year long. Congratulations to every Everfit coach on an amazing year and cheers to 2023! 🎉
